Context: I've been shooting amateur video since I was 14. I bought my first Kodak video camera with my very first paycheck in 2000 or 2001 ish.

So yea, I've had a lot of time to try out products.

And while I wouldn't rate this one 4 stars, I wouldn't rate it 5 stars either. It's honestly right in between at about 4.3 or 4.5.

Why?

Well, the reasons it's great:
1 - charges multiple batteries at once. Super important to have back ups of step limiting equipment, batteries being the most obvious.
2 - The charge indicator helps a lot.
3 - It's usb-c. Thank You All Deities! I for one have grown sick and tired of buying cables. I have probably hundreds of them, and am definitely beginning to feel bilked unfairly. It's a dirty trick and they know it. This has USB-C, so your newest cables with probably work.

Okay, I'm getting a little jaded about the cable thing. I digress.

Anyway, I had a chance to try a similar product, and that I would rate 5 stars. Why? Two reasons: First, it was a closed case design, whereas this is a top load. Idk. The closed case just felt better, less clunky, more secure. Second, the charge indicator was an LCD screen with a lot more data on it, and just visually far more appealing.

That said, if you don't need the aesthetics, and want strictly a utility like charger, this is your go to for sure.
