This is a passive mount adapter only. Ideally, it should be solid (as it certainly feels), inexpensive (which it is), and lightweight so it doesn't compromise your mirrorless camera's weight advantage. Recommended!

The adapter fulfills its purpose excellently and is priced more than 50% below the original from Canon

I have the original and this adapter. Both work exactly the same. The original looks a little nicer.
