This set really changes the look and feel of the Fujifilm X100VI. It does make the camera bigger and you may struggle getting it to fit in smaller bags and slings with the square hood on. This kit does include an UV filter builtin to the adapter. It looks like only K&F magnetic filters will work on the included UV filter ring. The hood took some time to get aligned but once lined up, it was great. The only thing to consider is that there will be a little protrusion of the tension rod and some may not like the look.

I love how perfectly this matches my silver x100f—it’s like they were meant to be together! The metal has almost the exact same color and finish, so it blends in seamlessly. I always use an MCUV filter on all my cameras because it doesn’t mess with the picture much but adds an extra layer of protection for the lens. Sure, the square hood doesn’t allow for filter stacking, but honestly, I’m not into stacking filters on small cameras anyway. I like to keep things simple and not turn my camera into a filter sandwich. Overall, the build quality is solid, and the MCUV filter is clear and protective, just the way I like it!

I got this for my son (who is the x100 owner in the family). After putting it on and walking around with it for a day he just said, "This thing is sweet." High praise for a 22-y-o.

It is, as he described, 'a glorified lens cap,' but the shroud stays out of the way of the image and does shield some stray light at angles where you crop out the sun from the viewfinder. Then you'll still get lens flares of course. He is excited to get the matching ND set of magnetic filters and says this still allows screw-on filters.

He works outdoors, so something durable to keep on his camera that will allow him to swap filters with his gloves on is pretty important, so he is really loving it and excited to add more magnetic filters. This just has a UV filter which will benefit him plenty at elevation and shooting in snowy conditions. Great product. Good price for this brand and quality.

The Nano-X lens filter helps protect the lens from dirt and dust while shooting without any color cast to the photos being taken.
The addition to the squared lens hood and cover helps further protection.
Great quality materials that also matches very well to the silver on the camera.
The only issue that appears a bit of a distraction is viewing through the viewfinder...the square hood is visible when viewing through the EVF.
The hood is not attached to the lens by the usual way, but held on by a small protruding set screw which is tighten onto the filter. Unsure how well this method will last before it wears out after constant use.
Overall, it works well for what it is designed for and gives the camera the "classic" look while being protected.

I do understand that because you use the square hood it does not allow for filter stacking but to me that is okay as I personally dont like to stack filters on small cameras like this to keep it as simple as possible.

Overall i think the build quality is good and MCUV filter is clear and provides a layer of protection.

I have tried several filter adapter/lens hood systems for my Fuji X100V over the years. Two issues almost every lens hood -- including Fuji's -- has are (1) it covers part of the OVF, and (2) it casts a shadow on the built-in flash.

On the first issue, this is only a problem if you use the OVF regularly, but if you do, this hood might get to you after a while as it covers a significant piece of the bottom right corner. It doesn't keep you from framing the shot, but you just won't be able to see what's in bottom right. Other hoods mitigate the effect by tapering the hood inward, or by cutting a corner out of the hood, but this one is just a solid square block. Thankfully it appears in the OVF out of focus, which helps a little bit.

On the second issue, this hood actually fares a bit better than some others I've used, but it still casts a noticeable shadow near the bottom of the frame. Of course this is only an issue when using the built-in flash in a dark environment; in outdoor fill-flash situations it's much less of a problem.

I'm only docking 1 star for both of these issues, as no hood is perfect in either regard, and it's only a problem if you use the affected features, but it's something potential buyers should know about.

Appearance-wise, this is a very handsome hood. The 1:1 square shape surprised me a bit; most "square" hoods are actually rectangular, and although the product images showed it as square, I wasn't sure if that was just a perspective issue. I think on any other camera it might look a bit weird, but it didn't take long for me to get used to it on my X100V, and now I actually like it. The same goes for the little rotating pin to hold the hood in place. It kind of sticks out (literally), but it doesn't look out of place. However, the lens cap itself looks slightly too large for the camera, so I would probably keep that off until I'm ready to put the camera away.

The filter itself seems to be of sufficiently high quality. I do not have test equipment by which to give it a full technical run-down, but I see no flaws in the images, even at high magnification, and my other K&F filters have never given me any reason to doubt their quality.

In conclusion, Fuji owners love to accessorize their cameras, and this is certainly a nice option that protects your X100-series camera from the elements and glare, while making it look even more vintage. Provided the issues I mentioned above are not a problem for you, there's no reason not to get this.

Vorab: Ich habe einige Gegenlichtblenden zu meiner X 100 VI ausprobiert. Weil ich bisher leider noch keine gefunden habe, die ideal ist. Das betrifft leider auch die von K&F Concept.

Die funktionell beste bietet nach meiner Erfahrung JJC (ASIN B06XHGSL4Z). Die arretiert über ein Bajonett sicher, die Funktion ist einwandfrei. Außerdem ist sie preislich die günstigste. Dafür passt sie farblich, zumindest in der silbernen Version, nicht zur Kamera. Am anderen Ende der Preisskala ist das Original von Fuji. Edel, in der Farbe perfekt. Aber leider löst sich die Blende sehr leicht vom Adapterring. Man muss schon sehr aufpassen, dass das gute, teure Stück nicht verloren geht.

Zur Gegenlichtblende von K&F Concept. Die liegt preislich in der Mitte und hat sogar noch einen UV-Filter integriert. Vorteil: Mechanischer und Spritzwasser-Schutz der Frontlinse. Optisch ist er nicht immer von Vorteil, da jede zusätzliche Luft-/Glasfläche die optische Rechnung des Objektivs beeinflussen kann.

- um die rechteckige Blende auf dem Adapterring korrekt ausgerichtet zu fixieren, ist eine Rändelschraube nötig. Die ist bei der K&F Concept ungünstig gestaltet: Lang und dünn. Sieht nicht sehr elegant aus, man bleibt daran hängen, sie kann sich leicht verbiegen und sogar abbrechen.

Además de proteger la lente de polvo y rasguños, el filtro UV absorbe la luz ultravioleta, logrando imágenes más nítidas y colores precisos. Se nota una cierta mejora en las fotos, especialmente en días soleados, pero es lo esperable en este tipo de filtros. Un detalle a recordar y que es importante, hay que quitar el anillo de montaje original antes de instalar el filtro. Por desgracia no es posible montar otros filtros estándar encima de este UV, pero tiene una rosca de 52mm para montar el sistema de filtros magnéticos K&F o el parasol. El parasol, al ser de rosca, hay que girarlo bien hasta encontrar el punto justo, por eso prefiero los parasoles con puntos de anclaje fijos.
