46mm Black Mist 1/4 + CPL Filter Set, Black Diffusion Dreamy Cinematic Effect Mist CPL Polarising Filter 18 Multi-Layer Coatings Nano-Klear Series
SKU: SKU.2349V1
K&F is a surprisingly good brand for photographic filters and other gear. I've grown to prefer their filters over even the older, more established makers. This set will be great for someone who doesn't already have a polarizing filter, or even if they just don't have a multi-coated one. It has a very thing ring, keeping it out of the view of wide-angle lenses, and there's no ghosting from reflections on the back side of the filter from the objective lens. However, if you already have a good polarizing filter, you might just want to pick up the black mist filter if you can find it by itself. The 1/4 is very subtle, but it still manages to impart a sense of smoothness even in full daylight. If you want a more pronounced effect, you might look at the 1/2. I personally wouldn't bother with the 1/8, since I think it would be such a subtle effect that it would be negligible. The 1/4, though, is just "there" enough to be useful, and I'm happy with the results.I can easily recommend both of these filters, either together or separately.

K&F makes great camera accessories and this is no different. super thin and works great. the CPL works perfectly with no distortion and the mist filter provides excellent character to your shots.Definitely recommended for the price especially with the nano coating.

KNF filters do not disappoint. I am so glad to have these in a two pack. The diffusion is top-notch and the neutral density has no color shifting. It seems to be of quality glass because I cannot tell the difference when putting this on my lens.

K&F simply makes some of the best value filters for photography and videography. There are multiple reviews on the internet comaring their filters to much more expensive counterparts and K&F always seems to hold well against these "better" name brands is not exceeding their performance. I have several different ND, UV, CPL type filters from them and this 1/4 Black Diffusion filter, Polarizing Filter combo works well. Ideal for portraits where you are looking to soften the look a bit or even for shooting product images/videos.

As with other K&F filters, these are of spectacular value. The machining is excellent, and I like the design with large knurls to help screw them onto the lens. The optical quality is excellent. I often use this combination when shooting outdoor events like concerts, exhibitions, and parties. Adding these filters gives the shots a "finished" look that stands out compared to mobile phone shots of the same subject. The 1/4 black diffusion is very subtle; in most cases, it barely registers. It adds a cinematic look to the tone. The black diffusion really comes alive when there are specular highlights like backlit hair; then, the diffusion causes a subtle glow. The CPL filter does a good job of darkening the sky, reducing reflection and glare. It needs to be rotated to find the effect (The filter is designed to rotate without unscrewing). It's important to test the filter in the environment; in rare cases, it will cause unwanted effects like vignetting or the sky looking unnaturally dark but lighter at the horizon. It all depends on the lens and sun position.. But overall, this combination is killer for day exteriors featuring people.

This is two lenses in one, the MRC and black diffusion.I found the diffusion to be very uniform and barely reduce light input, definitely not more than one stop. The effect is minor, it’s not overdone or distracting, just a very soft diffusion across the whole image.Fit and finish is top notch, with good machining.

K&F Concept 67mm Black Diffusion 1/4 + Polarizing Filters Set is a useful accessory for my iPhone 16 Pro Max phone cage that accepts 67mm screw in filters. This two pack from K&F offers a black mist type filter with ¼ strength and a circular polarizing filter. Both the soft mist and the reflection reducing properties of the circular polarizer are useful tools for the content we create for our YouTube channels. Recommended.

The K&F Concept 43mm Black Diffusion 1/4 + Polarizing Filter Set has been a game-changer for my photography, particularly when I’m working with portraits and landscapes. As someone who loves capturing moments with a cinematic look, this set delivers exactly what I need to enhance my shots. It includes a Cinematic Mist Effect Filter (Black Diffusion 1/4) and a CPL (Circular Polarizer) Filter, both of which are part of the Nano-K Series, designed for premium image quality. The Black Diffusion 1/4 filter creates a soft, dreamy effect that reduces harsh light and adds a beautiful misty quality to the image. I’ve noticed that it does an excellent job of smoothing out skin tones and giving portraits a more flattering, cinematic feel. Whether you're shooting in natural light or with studio lighting, this filter adds that subtle glow that makes your images look more professional. It's perfect for capturing moodier, artistic shots, and I can’t imagine shooting without it now.On the other hand, the CPL filter has been fantastic for reducing reflections and enhancing color saturation in my outdoor shots. It allows me to cut through glare from water, glass, and other shiny surfaces, bringing out the richness of the colors in my photos. I use it often when shooting landscapes, as it helps me capture the sky with more contrast and definition, making my images pop. Both filters are well-built, with Nano-coating technology that makes them resistant to dust, water, and fingerprints, ensuring longevity and clarity in every shot.Overall, the K&F Concept 43mm Black Diffusion 1/4 + Polarizing Filter Set is a fantastic investment for anyone serious about improving the quality of their images. The combination of the two filters opens up a wide range of creative possibilities, and I love the versatility it offers for both indoor and outdoor photography. If you’re looking to elevate your photography game and create stunning, cinematic images, this filter set is definitely worth it.

These come supplied with a secure plastic case and cleaning cloths. They come together in one case lightly screwed together. The filters are multi coated and made with optical glass. They feel slender and care needs to be taken when fitting them to your lens so as not to cross thread them. The CPL filter turns smoothly for adjustment. I tested these filters extensively using my Canon RP set to auto white balance and used aperture priority. I used my 24-105 L series F4 lens.I have not used a black diffusion filter before. When the filters arrived attached together I thought that perhaps they were meant to be used in conjunction with each other. After doing some reading, I don’t think that this is the case. Most photographers will be familiar with using CPL polarising lens for improving skyscapes and the appearance of water and reflections on water. The supplied CPL filter worked smoothly and exactly as I would expect. There are indentations on the perimeter that let you rotate the filter smoothly.I tried the black diffusion filter in a number of different situations: portraits of my wife indoors and some photos on the beach nearby. The filter has a subtle effect which is intended to diffuse highlights and produce a slightly blurry and dreamy cinematic effect. I am pretty sure that the filter does this, but to my eyes I found it very hard to see a great deal of difference. I did see some photos on the internet where a sunburst star effect from the sun had been transformed into a glowing hazy ball of sun which was impressive so clearly these black diffusion filters can make a difference. The CPL filter is very good. I am less convinced that the subtle effects of black diffusion filter would be much good for the type of photography that I do, simply because it is too subtle, but I recognise that it is a good product that will be useful to others.
