52mm Black Mist 1/8 Filter + Lens Cap, Mist Cinematic Effect Filter with 18 Multi-Layer Coatings for Video, Vlog, Portrait Photography Nano-Klear Series
SKU: KF01.2190V2
This filter offers a very light skin softening and blooming effect for cinematography and photography. The filter helps to make photography lenses not look as sharp and clinical without altering colors or creating other unwanted flaws in your images. I love this filter for fine art, and creative portraits.

I attached this K&F Concept filter to my Sony FE 50mm f1.2 lens. I took a close portrait, and the I took the same shot without.
This filter softens the portrait. It’s quite subtle but it’s pleasant. It was an indoors portrait. I expect that there will be a more significant softening outdoors.
A lens cap and a lens cap keeper was supplied free. Unfortunately, to incorporate these two gifts, a bigger case was required—perhaps an 82mm size. The 72mm filter slides around inside. It won’t damage the filter, but I would have forgone the gifts for the correct box.

As a full-time photographer and part-time iPhone content wizard, I wasn’t expecting much when I decided to slap a diffusion filter onto my phone setup—but the K&F Concept 67mm Black Diffusion 1/8 Filter made me eat my doubts for breakfast.
First of all, the build quality? Solid. This thing feels like it belongs on a $3,000 cinema rig, not chilling on my smartphone via a filter adapter. K&F always delivers in that department, and this one’s no different. The slim 3.3mm frame is lightweight but doesn’t feel cheap, and it slips on and off without a fight (thank you, CNC non-slip design).
Now let’s talk look. The diffusion is subtle but so effective—skin looks smoother, highlights are tamed, and everything gets that soft, low-contrast, "did-you-shoot-this-on-film?" vibe. It gives me that dreamy haze without turning everything into a foggy mess. Perfect for those quick reels or talking-head videos where I want to look 10% more like a movie star and 30% less like someone who just rolled out of bed.
There’s no weird color shift (shoutout to the AGC optical glass with 87% transmittance), and I haven’t noticed any vignetting at all. Plus, it's easy to clean—huge bonus when you're constantly touching your gear with post-lunch fingers.
Bottom line: If you’re shooting content on your phone but want it to feel like you rented an A24 lighting package, this is a must. Add an adapter and thank me later.
Oh, and pro tip: make sure your lens thread is 67mm. Don’t be that person.

Fits and works perfect on the Canon VCM lenses that just came out. I like the minor look addition of the black mist at 1/8 on those lenses. Just enough effect to do something but not be crazy noticeable.
It's nice that the filter comes with extras like the lens cap, and stuff.
The quality feels nice, and it fits without issues on all the 67mm lenses.

The black soft filter is very good for photographing people, as it can make the skin and light very soft. Very atmospheric

I have several K&F filters, so I wasn't surprised at the high quality of this one. For me, this 1/4 filter is the perfect level of mist effect. It's noticable but subtle and adds a somewhat dreamy look. It also helps high-res digital shots and videos to look more filmic, probably by cutting down oversharpness that can give that "video" or soap opera look. It is very well made and screws on perfectly. Comes with a very nice, sturdy plastic case to store it safely away.

Wow. K&F is one of the best filter brands in the business. I have their polarizer x ND filter, and it's a staple in my kit. I don't go anywhere without it, and it's usually always on my lens.
The Black Diffusion filter was one of those that I always looked at and never quite knew what to do with. Now getting to play with it, I see what the advantages are. It's best used for low light filming or at night. It creates a bit of diffusion in the highlights to create a sort of smoky, fog like haze. The overall effect is very cinematic and dreamy and gives everything a sense of mystery. It works especially great in cities and around neon or bright signage, but can also look great with bridges and street lights.
I'm looking forward to really playing around with this and creating some epic images.

K&F CONCEPT offers a range of filters divided into four different series.
This filter is part of the Nano-Klear series, which is more of a beginner series for beginner photographers. That is reflected in the pricing and the coating of the filter.
Don't let that deter you from taking a look. This is still a great filter and a great one to start on. As you advance, you might want to try a different series.
I am just a more advanced photographer, and even I don't require a pro-level filter. Those are likely for true professionals.
For the price, this filter is you simply can't pass it up!

K&F Concept 67mm Black Diffusion 1/4 Filter - another swing and home run from K&F. my only complaint, as with all their products, is that its expensive compared to similar items from other (less recognized) brands. optical quality is great, and its nice that it comes with a small microfiber cloth. easy to recommend if you have the money for it.
