K&F Concept 9.8" Magic Arm with Super Clamp is a very versatile tool and I would call it a third arm for photography. It is engineered to perfection and feels solid and robust. Once you tighten it, it hold a significant amount of weight. I use it for mount off camera flash with a small modifier and I can adjust it to any desirable position.

It has 1/4" 3/8" thread screw with articulating friction Arm which is geared so you can hear the clicking sound. It comes with Cold Shoe Mount for your off camera flash unit as well as LED constant light for video. A separate jaw clamp is also a tool that I use as I can mount any camera equipment or light modifier on tripod or light stand. It has rubber pads hence it doesn't damage the surface it is mount on.

I am delighted with this product and would highly recommend it to photographers.

This is a small, flexible arm for use with a camera, scope or mobile. The arm consists of a moveable lockable elbow connected to two identical 12 cm long arms which have ball and socket screw connectors on each end. The arm is supplied with a clamp that can be used to fix one end to a solid structure leaving the other end for attaching to a camera or accessory, such as a light or microphone. One particularly good feature is the way fixing the elbow joint locks all the moveable joints.

There is a limit to the number of things I am prepared to carry around with me. This arm is relatively lightweight considering what it can do. I am now using it to replace a lightweight mini tripod and selfie stick. The arm is more useful than my relatively unstable tripod as it is capable of being clamped firmly to solid objects. It is also long enough to act as a short selfie stick and it will hold securely a full sized camera.

Strong, useful and incredibly versatile. This magic-arm/super clamp combo is so useful for many, many things - I wonder why I hadn't got one sooner. It just makes mounting things so much easier. Pretty much all angles are covered brilliantly. Things stay exactly where you put them and the build quality is such that you never really need to think about anything attached to it again.

My videos will never be the same again. I'm using them to hold cameras, lights and all manner of other things!

The K&F Concept 9.8" Magic Arm with Super Clamp is a sturdy and flexible tool for mounting monitors, LED lights, or action cameras. With both 1/4" and 3/8" threaded screws and a cold shoe mount, it’s highly compatible with various setups, including SmallRig cages.

That said, it does take a little time to adjust the arm to your desired angle, as the friction system requires some fine-tuning. Once set, it holds securely, making it a solid choice for those needing reliable adjustability.

I have a few different Magic Arms now and they are insanely useful for attaching items and giving a bit more reach when needed.

For those unfamiliar, a Magic Arm is a jointed arm which can be angled and locked into position, the joints are stable to they remain in position until loosened.

This is a well manufactured/engineered item which feels solid and will probably stay in your kit for many many years and outlive cameras/etc.

I mounted a small LED panel light on this and attached it to my camera cage and it held brilliantly, but where I've really find this yo be useful is with microphone positioning. My Rode Video Mic Pro Plus usually mounted via cold shot to my camera, but here's no way to angle it, I've since used this magic arm (with 3/8" to cold shoe adaptor) so I can have more control over the angle of the mic - and it also moves the mic about 20 cm closer to my subject which is an added benefit.

I do 100% recommend these, they are so useful to have in your bag, and the clamp means that this can be mounted to a tripod leg or pretty much anything else, and the 3/8" mount is likely to be the same as any small lights you have so you can get them positioned nicely.

I was surprised at how much smaller this was than expected (I should have read the description better!) but it's still an incredibly useful piece of equipment, especially when you need something sturdy but compact.

The quality is excellent: machined parts, all metal, lightweight.

Highly recommended.

This clamp and arm combo turned out to be more useful than I expected. I originally got it to help with setting up some behind-the-scenes shots, but it’s ended up being handy for quite a few different things—holding a microphone, attaching a phone to odd surfaces, even balancing a small light for tabletop work.

The clamp itself grips surprisingly well. I’ve used it on bike handlebars, shelves, and random bits of furniture, and once it’s tightened down, it doesn’t budge. There’s a bit of peace of mind knowing your gear isn’t going to suddenly shift mid-shot. The inner part of the clamp doesn’t scratch surfaces, which is a nice touch, especially when clamping onto things like painted pipes or desk edges.

The arm has a good range of movement thanks to the dual ball-head design, and I’ve found it fairly easy to adjust and position, though you do need to take a moment to get everything tightened just right. If you’re in a rush, or working in a tight spot, the knobs can feel a bit awkward, but it’s manageable.

Build-wise, it’s mostly aluminum and feels well put together—not overly heavy, but not flimsy either. It holds the weight of a phone and a small light without any drifting or sagging. I wouldn’t go mounting anything too heavy, but for action cameras, phones, lights, or field monitors, it does the job well.

If I had to nitpick, I’d say the arm could benefit from smoother adjustment—sometimes it takes a bit of patience to get the angle just right. But once everything is in place, it stays there, which is what matters in the end.

It’s a practical bit of gear—compact, adaptable, and doesn’t complain when put to work. Not fancy, not fussy, just useful.

Set this up to mount a light on a table rig, and it’s done exactly what I needed. Adjusting angles is easy, and it hasn’t slipped once during filming. The clamp feels solid when tightened, and the rubber padding stops it from marking surfaces. It’s held steady even when bumped accidentally, which is more than I expected. Works just fine with a small monitor too. No creaking, no unwanted movement. Tightening the arm takes seconds, and everything stays in place until I move it again. Been swapping it between two setups regularly and it hasn’t worn down or loosened. Nothing over-engineered here, just a sturdy bit of gear that behaves exactly how it should.

This 2 -piece set is quite a bit smaller than I had expected it to be, mainly in the length of the arms. Build quality looks and feel are quite good.

The two cold shoes and arms are loose until you tighten up the centre knob, which does make positioning it a little tricky. So the knack is to have it tensioned enough to be able to manoeuvre it around.

Once set-up, it was quite capable of holding a large mobile phone, together with an LED light. It's ideal if you're trying to get a particular angle for your shot of looking to shoot multiple angles at the same time. It is lightweight and compact, making it easy to carry around.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.

This camera arm is amazing. Really well made/high quality. very adjustable/posable. The centre knob not only for adjusting the ratchet joint, when tightened it also locks both ends with the 1/4" threads in position. marvelous engineering.
Great price too.
