I am very familiar with K&F concept from my previous positive experience with their filters, bags and brackets etc., so when I saw this dual ball head magic arm, I was keen to try it!

This magic arm features two lockable ball joints terminating with 1/4 inch threads on both sides, locked by thumbwheels with anti-scratch rubber padding.
This magic arm allows me to attach peripherals to my large tripod base e.g. LED lighting, microphone, small action camera etc.

The overall construction feels ultra solid as well as precise with the central thumb screw allowing simultaneous adjustment and locking of both ball heads.

This magic harm will also come in handy for mounting my small projector on a mini tripod or from the ceiling bracket.

I’m very pleased with this small compact double ball head. It’s solidly built and functions really well. The mechanism locks both balls simultaneously and the lock is very, firm, leaving both bowls locked firmly in place. The balls, each have 1/4 inch screws attached which makes them very versatile and able to connect to a wide variety of objects.

This K&F Concept Dual Ball Head Magic Arm with Standard ¼” Screws for Digital Cameras, Microphones and Lights, arrived in a cardboard box, also in the box is a small information sheet.

I ordered this mainly for my action camera, so I could attach an LED video light to the side of it (see my video), and then mounted it on my tripod using one of the two ¼” threaded mount holes.

I have several items from K&F, and they are all good quality products, that have never let me down, I like that have a style of their own, you can always spot them amongst your equipment, the orange theme makes sure of that, and this versatile well-made dual ball magic arm is no exception, it is so well engineered, and once you lock the ball mount using the orange adjustment knob, they fill 100% secure.

At the time of writing this review the price is £13.99, would I recommend this dual ball magic arm, absolutely!

The squares on the table I use when photographing and videoing are there so you can use them to help you judge the size of items I photograph or video, the small are 1cm square and the larger ones are 5cm.

Been testing this little arm during some weekend photo shoots around our small town, and it feels a solid piece of kit to me. I use it to position my external flash off-camera with my Nikon, and the 360-degree rotation makes it simple to get creative lighting angles. Its aluminum construction seems durable enough for our unpredictable weather - held up fine during a recent rainy afternoon shoot. I like that it's compact enough to toss in my camera bag without adding much weight. The anti-slip pads work well on my flash mount. Could use slightly longer reach for some setups, and the ball joints occasionally need readjusting mid-shoot. Still, it's become a regular part of my photography gear for the flexibility it offers.

As a photographer and filmmaker, I have a number of gadgets from K&F Concept, largely because I know they can be relied on.

This dual bullhead magic arm is solid and mechanically simple, allowing you to flexibly position both ends, and simply fix in place with a twist of the orange screw, then reverse to release. When locked in place it is really solid and not prone to slipping, which is essential.

The main use for this would be to attach an action camera or external monitor to the top of a camera, whether directly or on a cage. Alternatively, it could also be used successfully with other accessories, making it an all-round useful tool to keep in the studio or camera bag. The use of standard 1/4” tripod screws makes it fairly universal, either directly or with an additional adapter.
