The filter arrived in a traditional round, pancake container that saves a little bulk compared to the large and square translucent boxes I have been receiving for the past year in filter packages. Maybe this is the new trend? I prefer this container myself, but what ever they do, it's nice to have some consistency because my filter boxes are really piling up.

The build quality of the UV Armored filter is what I've come to expect from K&F Concept; clearly printed description on the frame and threads that run smoothly the first and every time going on and off my camera's lens threads. This filter is for my Sony AX-700 camcorder and because the K&F filter accepts the Sony lens cover as well as the actual camera, it can stay in place most of the time.

Part of the year I shoot powersports where I get up close to areas where sand and gravel are flying from competitors passing within two or three feet of me. I can feel the odd pebble and plenty of beach spray hitting me so one of these days this filter is going to save my camera (fixed lens sealed to the camera body). My mirrorless camera has had a K&F Concept UV & Armored filter for about a year, used under the same conditions and the images are not degraded in any way from having that filter attached.

It's a UV haze filter and it doesn't distort your image. While I appreciate the anti-shatter properties of the product I don't plan on hitting it right in the middle just yet, though this might be something that would make a good video to try out.

The filter comes excellent presented by the way. It has a really useful filter case that would be a great companion for your other filters such as an ND or polarizer.

If you need a UV filter or just a filter to protect your front element, this would be a great choice.
The frame is milled from aluminum, which is fine. Brass is better, but it would also increase the price...and weight.
It's heavily knurled at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions. More than enough to get a good grip.

The nano coatings on each side is a blessing since this will be getting exposed to the elements a lot. The nano coatings make cleaning so much easier, and it helps keep water out.

I like the case as well...better than the typical square cases. It's easier to store and the rubber grips on the inside keep the filter from moving around. It rally locks it down well. Thanks for that. I wish all filters came with cases like this.

I ordered this 43mm in this UV filter by the K&F Concept brand for my 35mm f/2.0 Fujifilm XC lens, the little plastic lens that could, but really doesn't have lot of glass protection for its elements.

So far I have no issues with this filter at all, in fact it was ordered as a replacement for the more "premium" filter that broke. This brand matches the quality both in terms of effect it produces, and also the quality of the aluminum casing and glass itself, I honestly see no difference.

Fast delivery, of a product equal in quality to brand names, I will be a returning buyer from this brand. 5 stars.

Well, leave it to me to be out of the loop; I had no idea that exploding MCUV filters were an issue. Thankfully, nobody on my set has been hurt.

All kidding aside, I’ve been a fan of K&F Filters for some time now, and have come to appreciate the consistency and the quality of the brand. The majority of my lenses live their lives with K&F UV protective filters on their front element.

Using a spot meter and a neutral grey card, I found that the MCUV filter does not absorb any light, nor does it degrade the image sharpness; the two provided pictures of type face are both enlarged 500%. It does serve the purpose, as is typically the case, of low-cost protection for the front element of the lens. It is very light-weight owing to its aluminum frame, and the thinness of the glass. It has knurls on the frame for grip and the front threads are, at least in the case of the 82mm size I ordered, the same size as the filter size; this allows for filter stacking. This is not the case with all filters; I have several that the front threads are larger than the filter size or rear threads, often the case with VND and CPL filters.

In the tests I performed to check for its “Low-Reflectivity,” in situations where there is a high degree of flare, for example the sun is in the frame, it did seem to help reduce flare in the lens I was using. And in situations where there is not a high degree of flare, I did sense that it provided slightly more contrast, evidence that it is preventing some scattered light from entering the lens. So, it did seem to do what I had hoped, that is, provide additional effective coatings to reduce flare in a specific lens. And of course, one would expect the same results on any lens to which its attached.

At best, these effects are subtle. On the other hand, they could be imagined; I’m seeing what I want to see. In all things visual, I use my senses rather than charts and graphs to decide if an effect is of interest or useful to me. I don’t make comparisons, but judge a lens or filter for the qualities it has, not by those it doesn’t. Does it provide me a means by which to realize an idea or vision; that is the question for me. Every lens, filter, camera, film, etc, has a quality that needn’t be deemed as “good” or “bad,” but rather, is that a quality that aligns with my vision. Start with a vision, and the means will present itself.

As I noted at the beginning, I’ve come to rely on the quality of K&F filters, and for the reasons that the seller asserts, but most importantly to me, the high quality of their multi-coated, anti-reflective glass. Putting low quality glass in front of a high-quality lens denigrates the lens quality to that of the filter in front of it. That is why I have confidence in K&F filters.

The filter is supplied with protective case.

This slim profile filter is perfect for wide angle lenses. It has excellent coating and it does not add reflections or color casting. K&F claims explosive-proof. For cameras like RX10 which has a large built-in lens, lens protection is very important and this does an excellent job of protecting it from the elements as well as scratches. Highly recommended.

This is the first UV lense I have owned, so I can't make a comparison to more expensive competitors, but the quality of it is very good. Fits perfectly on my Sony camera lense and still leaves room for the default lense protector and hood. It is very light weight so there won't be a noticeable difference if you just leave it on all the time. The pictures taken with the lense on are nearly identical to what you take with it off in normal lighting. Based on the pricing I have seen with competitors, this is excellent quality for the price point, I recommend trying one out and seeing if it works for you.

Coming from a much more expensive brand I thought I would give these a go. Really happy with the quality of the item it has not got stick on the lens filters thread once. Image quality is not affected and I am seeing no strange signs of glare at all.

I have several photography items from K&F Concept, including filters, and I have never been disappointed. The items I have received from them have all been top notch. And this filter is no different. It is made of high quality materials and feels sturdy in the hand. It easily screwed not my 77mm lens and I like having a UV filter when I take my photos. I think that in 99% of my photos, it helps. It will also protect my lens. I am very happy with this quality filter.
