K&F CONCEPT Cold Shoe Mount Compatible with DJI Osmo Nano/Osmo Action 6, Action Camera Magnetic Quick Mount Holder, Tripod Adapter Hot Shoe Camera Connector with 1/4

I got the K&F CONCEPT magnetic cold shoe mount for my DJI Osmo Nano so I could mount it on my camera and document moments or create videos while taking pictures. It's a lovely tool to have in my kit. It feels sturdy, well made, and the materials have a good quality touch and feel. It’s also very practical, easy to use, and good value for money. I really like how compact it is too. It's easy to pack and carry while travelling, which makes it perfect for creators who want a simple setup without carrying too much extra gear. Overall, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to use their DJI Osmo Nano alongside their camera for travel, content creation, or behind-the-scenes filming.

I'm a big fan of K&F Concept kit. It's well made, and their metal mounts are particularly impressive.

This mount, however, has a surprising frustration - though one that is not entirely K&F's doing.

DJI changed (improved) the quick release mounting system for their Osmo range with the introduction of the Osmo Nano. The same change persisted on the Osmo Action 6.

It's a subtle change from the earlier Osmo kit like the Action 5 Pro, Action 4 etc. and can usually be pretty much ignored - but not quite with this mount.

The change is that new style Osmo quick release mounts are reversible, where as previously the magnets would only allow you to attach a mount one way around.

This makes perfect sense for the likes of the Osmo Nano where the screen and camera are similarly reversible, making sure you can point the display in the direction you want and the camera in the direction you want.

And in every case I have tried, you can attach the new style mount to new and old Osmo kit either way around as well though you do have to fight the magnets a little on the older kit.

Every case, that is, except for the K&F Concept metal cage for the Osmo 360!

This mount fits the Osmo 360 itself OK - despite the Osmo 360 having the old style directional mount - but it absolutely refuses to attach to the cage!

What's more, other new style DJI QR mounts I have from other manufacturers DO fit the K&F Osmo 360 cage!

This is obviously a game of tolerances and this new style mount just misses out on being able to grab the slots in the base of K&F's own cage.

This issue aside, this is yet another handy mount.

All.ketal in construction, it feels sturdy and well made. The cold shoe foot and screw disc hold the mount in place securely and the QR mounts can be tilted through 180 degrees (maybe even slightly more).

The QR mount fits the Osmo Action 6 and Osmo Nano perfectly, as it is designed to do, and if you fight the magnets a little it also works with the Action 5 Pro and (uncaged) Osmo 360.

In the base of the shoe is also a 1/4" thread so you can attach this to selfie-stick/extension poles as well.

In black with the K&F signature orange details, it looks as good as it works. Just a shame about out fitting that cage.

Excellent value for the price

I requested it because I sometimes like to take an action camera out on a walk, along with a DSLR (I use several different ones), and I thought it would be nice to capture the same footage from two perspectives.

It is a high-quality piece with a robust, compact build. Although the listing states it is compatible with the DJI Osmo Action 6, the mount is the same as on the DJI Osmo Action 5 and the Nano, making it more versatile.

I decided to test it on a recent walk by rigging it up on my vintage Canon 350D and placing the Osmo Action 5 on top. The mount survived the walk and kept the action camera securely locked in and steady throughout.

In summary, a good value item.

I've been testing the K&F Concept cold shoe mount against a number of other similar mounts with my DJI Osmo Nano, and the K&F Concept product stands out as being incredibly well built. I've got several pieces of kit from this manufacturer and I've yet to use any that have been in anyway poor. They're usually a little bit more expensive than similar mounts, but they're usually worth that little bit of extra investment.

The mount is smooth in rotation but firm enough that it doesn't move. The clips grip firmly onto my camera and release smoothly when required. I'm able to mount my Nano onto the cold shoe of either my DSLR or video camera and capture additional footage while I work. It's an impressive bit of kit.

Overall, this is a well-made and very practical accessory that adds a lot of flexibility to a camera setup. The magnetic quick-release system has a reassuringly firm grip, and the quick-release mechanism on both ends makes mounting and removing accessories fast and convenient.

Despite the listing stating that it’s not suitable for Osmo Action 3/4/5 Pro or Osmo 360, I found that it does fit my Osmo Action 4 when used with a Ulanzi cage. However, it does not fit my Action 5 when paired with a SmallRig cage, so cage compatibility is definitely something to be aware of before buying.

One of the standout features is the cold shoe mount itself. It offers a full 360-degree rotation and can tilt up and down by a full 90 degrees, which makes positioning microphones, lights, or other accessories extremely easy and precise.

Build quality feels solid, nothing feels loose or flimsy, and once mounted, everything stays firmly in place. Overall, this is a reliable and thoughtfully designed accessory that has made my Osmo setup noticeably more versatile. Just be sure to check compatibility with your specific camera cage if you are using one before purchasing.

Works as described, really strong magnets - had on the motorbike at high speed with no issues

I wanted a faster way to swap accessories on my Osmo action camera so I clipped the K&F Concept magnetic cold shoe mount onto my rig and felt it snap firmly into place. The metal quick release base uses strong magnets and a claw buckle to lock onto compatible DJI Osmo Nano and Action 6 plates, then adds a cold shoe and 1/4 inch thread for lights, mics or tripods with up to about 180 degrees of tilt for framing shots.

I like that it combines a cold shoe and threaded mount in one, so it can sit on a cage, selfie stick, tripod or clamp while still holding a microphone or small light on top. The adjustable joint makes it easy to fine tune the shooting angle without moving the whole stand and the aluminium alloy body feels solid enough for everyday vlogging or bike mounting.

You do need to double check the clips are fully pressed in so they lock before doing anything too bumpy and it is only designed for the specific DJI magnetic quick release system, not older GoPro style frames. Magnets will also grab stray metal filings if you drop it on the ground, so a quick clean before reattaching is wise.

All that can be said is that it works as it should and that is a big plus.
