Features
- * 【Translation: Curved Design】 The curved reflector mimics the curvature of the human eye, reflecting circular light, making the eyes bright and radiant in portrait photography. It can eliminate shadows. The fabric is suitable for strobe lights, monolights, LED lights, and even natural sunlight.
- * 【Adjustable Angle】 The reflector supports 180° up and down adjustment. The rotating bracket can be directly snapped onto the back of the frame and tilted up and down to get the desired reflection angle. The screw knob helps you fix the bracket on the bracket and adjust the angle easily
- * 【Multiple reflective effects】The reflector features two reflective fabrics—a black and silver one and a gold and white one. The white reflector creates a softer, more natural light, while the silver reflector reflects light closer to sunlight, effectively brightening the subject and increasing the amount of light. The black reflector is primarily light-absorbing rather than reflecting, absorbing light and reducing the impact of reflected light on your shots. The gold reflector reflects light wit
- * 【1.5m Light Stand】The set includes a 1.5m stand with an adjustable range of 71.5~150cm. You don’t need to purchase an additional stand and can use it directly with the reflector.
- * 【Complete accessories】Our set includes 4x bent pipes, 2x metal rods, 1x middle connecting rod, 1x rotating bracket, 1x black and silver double-sided cloth, 1x gold and white double-sided cloth, 1x carrying bag, 1x light stand (1.5m), and 1x instruction manual.

Nice Kit! Works Well!
A very nice package for offering up some very useful "up-lighting" to portrait work (either stills or motion).
I have worked on sets for years, doing both stills (no so much) and motion (film first, then video and now digital files). Many times and more so with women than men, you want to add a degree of light from the below, as it fills in shadows under the chin and eyes. It can make a big difference in the final image.
If you have ever had the chance to see a movie being made, you may see a crew member walking close to the actors in an outside scene, holding a portion of styrofoam from below. That is bouncing light up into their faces. Not a huge amount - you don't want it to look like the lighting is coming from below, but enough light to help to fill in the shadows.
Same is true in portrait work. Either stills or reading from a prompter. I heard a story, years ago, about a top US broadcaster who traveled with her own up-light kit. She understood what a difference it made in how she looked on camera. (She traveled with her own DP as well - Director of Photography)
This kit by K&F does a very nice job of providing this wonderful up-light, and includes just about everything you need. Assembly does take a bit of time. Even if you are familiar with all the bits and pieces, it takes time. This is why, I think the kit is much more suited to studio or home use. Certainly you can travel with it, but you will need to allow time to set it up and strike it down.
The curve is nice, because it is very forgiving. A flat sheet of foam core (white board with a foam centre) is commonly used, but you need to position it carefully.
You could use the setup outdoors, but I feel it is better suited for indoor use. Outdoors, it will be susceptible to wind movement, which is going to cause the lighting to "flash" on your subject. You don't want that. Even with a calm day, you will need to lug around a few sand bags to make sure the unit is not going anywhere.
Fully extended, the lighting stand is about 62". That is more than you'll need for most portrait work! Sitting subjects or standing, this stand will do it all. It is rather lightweight, but indoors, not a problem. But put a bag on it anyway!
You can also adjust the angle of the entire unit, so you could twist the unit into giving you some bounce light for a product shoot. That's a nice bonus feature!
You receive one main, heavier cloth backing unit, where the rods slip into channels sewn into the fabric. This give you both a base for a secondary reflector featuring a gold and white side, and the base itself, which is sliver and on the back side - black.
You can use the black side as "negative light" - in other words, take away any kind of reflecting light. But rather that partly disassemble the unit, just get a piece of "flat black fabric" to simply toss over the reflectors. Done. The other reflectors give you a hard light (sliver) a soft light (white) and mix between soft and hard but with a gold tone (the gold, obviously!) that can be great for warming up skin tones.
I must admit I used a few extra washers when screwing differ bushing into different screws. I also like adding a single drop of oil to any threads. It makes them silky smooth and far less likely to bond together.
And again, with a number of adjustments that you can make with the piece K&F calls the angle bracket, you can position the reflector pretty much anywhere you like.
Is it a good value at $100.00CDN? Yes! A darn good deal! Depending on your subject, I have used 4'X8' sheets of foam core, to achieve up lighting. These large sheets do wonders when lighting up a car. But this unit will provide you with an excellent way to "up" your work on portraits, and let you learn more about this added lighting technique.
Bottom Line - Good deal on a very competent supplemental lighting package. If you are already - or are planning to - shooing more portraits, invest in this kit. You will be amazed at the difference it can make in your work.

A versatile and functional reflector, but not for all uses
The K&F Concept U-Reflector is an excellent ally for studio users who want to improve the quality of their lighting with a versatile tool.
The interchangeable surfaces (white, black, gold, and silver) allow you to easily adapt the light to different needs, from portraits to videos.
The light is softer and more uniform, with a pleasing effect on skin tones.
The 1.5-meter stand is stable, although some plastic components and the reflector's structure don't convey a particularly robust impression.
Assembly requires patience and isn't ideal for those who need to set up and disassemble frequently: it's best to keep it assembled in the studio.
The included bag is useful, but it doesn't hold everything neatly.
Overall, a good product for those looking for quality and versatility at an affordable price, with some limitations regarding portability.

Great for any photographer of any skill level
I picked up this clamshell reflector because I wanted a simple way to improve my lighting for portraits and outdoor shoots without carrying heavy gear. It opened up easily and the curved shape helped bounce light smoothly without harsh shadows. The different surfaces gave me options to soften or brighten light depending on conditions, and the carrying bag made it easy to take with me when I was on location. It folded down compactly and was lightweight enough that I didn’t mind bringing it along for longer shoots. It did require a bit of practice to hold steady by hand, but once I got the hang of it it became a useful tool in my lighting setup.

Nice for the price. Seems sturdy as well
K&F I know because they make decent mid level nd filters. So saw this and decided to pull the trigger. Got the smaller version bc my space is already small. Simple to set up. Be careful with it and it seems it’ll last. this is one of the few that include a stand and was under $65 bucks at the time. It’s way more convenient than a reflector for portrait since you save alot more space.
Also Came with a small travel bag. But I don’t intend to break it down. If you do. it’s a small footprint and nice to have to pack neatly. 4 colors. Good value for the money.

Useful and well-designed (note that the reflector is large)
A collapsible kit for creating a large curved reflector.
I was surprised by how compact the box was considering the size of the reflector once assembled. It's quite large and provides fairly even lighting on subjects.

Highly versatile curved reflector for portrait and video
This U-shaped curved reflector is a very practical tool for portrait, video, and product photography, especially in controlled environments. The curved shape helps to wrap the light more naturally, illuminating the face and eyes evenly and reducing harsh shadows—a difference noticeable from the very first use.
Installation is quite simple and requires no tools, following the included manual. Once assembled, the unit feels sturdy, both the frame and the 1.5m stand, which is stable and sufficient for most light studio setups or indoor recordings. The angle adjustment of up to 180° allows for precise positioning depending on the scene.
One of its strengths is the versatility of the reflective surfaces. The interchangeable black, white, silver, and gold covers allow you to easily adapt the character of the light, from a soft, natural fill to a more contrasted or warm effect, without needing to change accessories or add additional modifiers.
Furthermore, its size is suitable for small studios and it's relatively easy to transport thanks to the included bag, making it appealing for both permanent use and occasional shoots outside the studio. Overall, it's a well-designed, functional reflector with a balanced price-to-performance ratio for photographers and content creators. I give it 5 stars.

Delighted with this product
Exactly as described.
The tripod is included, well-made and typical for photo accessories in general, and everything else fits into the carrying case that you attach to it.
The package includes a very detailed instruction manual, part of which is in French, and everything is very easy to assemble. Everything fits together well and feels very sturdy; nothing moves once assembled.
The black/white reflector is mounted with the frame (you have to choose which side you want during assembly, otherwise you have to disassemble the entire frame because it slides into the reflector's seams). Then you can attach the silver/gold reflector with Velcro.
Once assembled, you have three easily interchangeable reflectors (black, silver or gold, and white, silver or gold). Otherwise, you have to disassemble and reassemble it. It doesn't take long, but it's best to know which side you're going to use from the start.
Very happy.
