The item itself is decent and well-made for the price.

I go out walking a few times each week in the countryside and find that a monocular is an ideal companion for bird watching due to the compact nature of the design. This K&F Concept 12 x 50 monocular is not too bulky and is supplied with a carrying case, mini tripod, wrist strap and phone holder. The optics are very clear and bright due to the relatively large 50mm objective lens and the focusing wheel is easy to operate. The lenses are coated with the monocular also being weather sealed and Nitrogen filled to help prevent fogging or contamination of the optics. I find the included mini tripod very useful when I am sat in a bird hide as I can have the monocular sat in front of me ready to use without having to hold it. The phone holder is easily adjustable to suit a variety of mobile phone sizes and is ideal for capturing the view as seen through 12 x magnification lenses.

The overall build quality is in my opinion very good for a monocular at this price point. I find the field of vision is nice and sharp once focused and I have been able to view distant objects clearly even in low light conditions. In summary I consider this K&F concept monocular to be very good value taking into account its robust design and the quality of the optics. Recommended.

Who hasn't heard that saying? Most of the time, it's simply your smartphone. However, the software zoom on even modern smartphones is pretty much useless, as many pixels are crammed onto a tiny sensor, resulting in a completely noisy image, even in the best lighting conditions.

A 12x50mm monocular offers a solution, providing a substantial zoom factor for lenses (usually 24-50mm equivalent).

The K&F monocular is also coated, which I appreciate. Focus can be adjusted using the dial on top. The lens also comes with two lens caps. As an added bonus, a mini tripod and a universal mount are included. It's a bit of a guessing game to figure out which lens is taking the picture, but you'll get the hang of it over time.

Conclusion: This is a decent solution for using your smartphone. Everything you need is included. With a little practice, you'll quickly get the hang of it and can, for example, take much higher-quality photos of birds in your garden than you could with just your phone.

The monocular is absolutely fantastic for the price. I tested it at dusk and it performed very well even then. The image edges are crisp and the overall build quality is excellent. The Arca-Swiss mount is a nice bonus, as is the smartphone adapter. The tripod is also solidly constructed.

For the price... I've seen several monoculars that performed significantly worse.
