All "neutral" density filters have some shift. These are very minimal. You can see a review comparing these on youtube. They have less color shift than a much more expensive competitor. It is easy to correct if desired using custom white balance or white balance adjustment in software. They are consistent across all of the filters in my experience.

I haven't tried it yet and I wouldn't do that either - eye damage ?!

If a screwable lens hood is used, the filter must be rotated.
