Yes, it runs while plugged in. Once charged it seems to run for about 12 hours before the battery gets very low.

There is a speaker logo on the upper right of the screen. When you long-press the ""+"" button, the speaker logo will disappear, so the buzzer will be turned off; when the speaker logo appears, the buzzer will be on.

Place the detector in an open environment. After shutdown, long press the three buttons on the top of the detector, the detector will enter the calibration state. This CO2 detector does not have the function of storing data for the time being.

I have not looked for a specific travel case, but unless you are being really rough with it I would say a padded envelope or a generic small case would do it. It's pretty sturdy. I take it to to the office sometimes and just put it in one of the pockets of my laptop case. Also, for extra protection against scratches I never removed the clear plastic film that comes over the screen. Except for the red ""pull here"" tab, you can't tell it's there.

Sorry, there is no atomic clock in our detector, but it can customize the CO2 concentration alarm value. When the value detected by the detector exceeds your set value, the detector will sound an alarm.

It detects carbon dioxide. It will detect the CO2 when you blow or exhale from your breath, but not the smoke itself.
