Works wonderfully for my Mini Cooper Countryman All4 PHEV
As we all transition from internal combustion engine cars to PHEVs and electric vehicles, an EVSE becomes a must. I charged my PHEV using a 110V outlet, which took almost seven hours, and I often left the house without the battery fully charged. This EVSE, coupled with the NEMA 14-50 plug I installed, cuts my charging time to about 1 hour and 45 minutes! Actually it would be faster, but the car doesn't allow more than about 15 amps.
At the push of a button the charge changes from 16, 26 to 32 amps. I keep mine at 16A. The cable is long and doesn't get hard in the cold.
The only thing I wish was a bracket to hold up the adapter part. Otherwise, its weight will pull on the plug in the socket and it will flap around everywhere. There is a screw hole on the back, but when I put a screw on the wall and hung it, the thin plastic came off. It didn't break per se, but kept chipping off. I finally got these bracket clamps to fix this problem. A simple hanging cover would have solved this problem and should have been included. But I still gave it 5 stars.
