Fantastic strap, but is there a weak link?
If you always find camera straps to be too stiff and uncomfortable on your neck and shoulders, this K&F Concept Camera Neck Strap is for you. It is made out of a soft and flexible nylon material identical to the seatbelts in a car.
When I first started testing this camera strap I was surprised to see that it uses quick-release connectors on the camera ends, because in my experience they can open by accident and drop your camera. The quick releases used in this strap, however, have an ingenious safety lock button that you have to hold down to open the quick releases. This is a very helpful innovation that I appreciate.
I own quite a bit of gear from K&F Concept, and have been very impressed by all of it. Initially I thought that this camera strap was another K&F home run, but I have noticed that it uses what appear to be fabric-coated rubber strips to attach the different parts of the strap together (see photo). These rubber pieces seem like they would be much less robust than the strong seatbelt webbing that comprises the bulk of the strap, meaning that these potential weaker parts could wear out much quicker than the rest of the strap. I will be monitoring these rubber connections carefully and replacing the strap at the slightest signs of wear.
Overall this is a strong, stylish, and well designed-camera strap but the potential weak links are an important consideration.
