These K&F Concept 43 to 49mm step-up rings take your lens' 43mm filter thread and convert it to a 49mm thread so that you can put filters from your 49mm collection on it. It is not just about not having to pay for another set of filters though, adding some extra diameter to the filters means that you are less likely to get vignetting caused by the edge of the filters coming into shot with wide angled focal length lenses such as 24mm or 28mm focal lengths or their equivalents.
These step-up rings from K&F Concept are made from aircraft-grade aluminium alloy so they are not as soft as pure aluminium and therefore harder-wearing. These are well made and perform their job perfectly well.
