Even though I read the reviews, I was still surprised by the compact size and weight of this tripod. The components are all quality, it's well made. I'm 6'1" (185cm) tall and use a Pentax K1 with battery grip and 24-70mm f2.8 lens. It's a tall, heavy camera setup. My immediate concern was that the tripod will be too short and if I flip the camera vertically the tripod might fall over. To my surprise, fully extended, the camera viewfinder is almost too high for me. This places the lens over the heads of most people if you're in a crowd and most DSLR cameras have a tiltable LCD screen for viewing anyway. Its also quite stable for its weight. Horizontal or vertical, the camera was in no danger of falling. I wouldn't risk it on a windy day though.

On the ballhead there are 3 separate knobs to lock rotation, ball tilt and camera base plate. All very solid. The baseplate also has a really nice bubble level and a compass that will help you align the tripod to North for astrophotography.

If you're a hiker or traveler, I highly recommend this for the price / performance ratio.

Its a very light tripod (I would say 2.5 lbs at most). It works great with my Nikon mirrorless with a 70 200 mm telephoto lens

I got this tripod for a variety of uses; landscapes to macro, portraits to travel. It is very versatile, and nice to have carry case to make it easy to bring with me.

I don’t like to take my big gear when I travel, and I get nice photo performance out of my GX7, And with this tripod I can travel super light now. Hiking those 14ers with less than 3lbs of photo gear is going to be AMAZING! I could probably take my Sony Alpha 6300 instead with a zoom lens if I needed some reach.

I wouldnt recommend big dslrs for this tripod. Stick to mirrorless or point and shoot.

I used an amazon basics tripod for years. Years and years, event after event, state after state and while it was in fact basic, it was sufficient. So after it came apart (again, this is a trunk living, flight after flight, hotel after hotel type of life for that tripod.) I'd decided especially since it was for my wedding, and I would be using it as a steady tripod set up in the corner, that it was time to upgrade. Now, I've been on a dozen or so professional shoots, so I've seen $500 tripods that were lighter, and could hold a 50lb setup and so on. But none that made me think, that is worth that amount because it's worth that much more than a basic tripod. This tripod is worth it. It's just north of $100 given the time you buy it. It's light and takes up a tiny amount of space and sets up in seconds. Thus far, the one time I've used it, it's been amazing and I'm looking forward to the traveling and shoots I'll use it for.

If you need bullet points on why to get this over another.
1. Weight.
2. How compact it gets.
3. Use, I don't need to do any panning and tilting shots, but, I can.
4. Set up is simple, fast.

Con would be,
If you needed a taller one, this isn't it. When you buy a tripod don't get all the things you think you'll use. Get what you will use. Will you use a monopod? No. Will you need to get circular swivel shots, probably not. But, will you set this in the back of a crowd and anyone taller than 5'8" will block your shot. If so, this isn't for you, get something that's 71" or more if possible. But if you won't be shooting over a crowd, here ya go. This is the one.

So far so good. This is super light weight. No more “lugging”. It folds down to nothing, especially if you remove the ball head. The legs expand out quickly. The legs do seem a bit flimsy and the tripod isn’t as solid feeling as ones I’ve had in the past. But. If you just have a mirrorless with lenses under 300mm or so, no problem. I have a Sony A6500 and it holds this no prob. Use a 5 second delay or remote trigger and that should kill any vibration before the shot.

The only thing I’ve found that kills tripods is SAND. It gets into the twist locks and that’s the death sentence. This one hasn’t been to the beach yet but I’ll update this if things change from five stars.

A very good tripod, the original ball joint is fine but made of plastic. Since I will often use this tripod with my EOS 90D and a sigma 150-500mm to shoot the moon, I needed a more serious head. So I replaced it with another of the same brand, but more robust, the KF-28. The original one, I mounted it on my Manfrotto monopod. I recommend this product with my eyes closed for the price!

Being passionate about photography, I wanted to discover photography in low light. Who says photo in low light then says competition tripod. I can't afford to put 180 euros in a tripod. I then found this alternative and I must say that I am not disappointed. Beyond its lightness, it is easy to use. It is very functional and very compact. So I can take it everywhere with me. He never leaves me. I am very satisfied with this tripod. In addition it offers the possibility of taking photos in Monopod mode and I completely validate! Its kneecap is perfect for making videos it is very smousss. I recommend

I’ve been through a lot of tripods. Mostly cheap ones that I’ve been disappointed in. This one on the other hand is the best I’ve ever owned. Very sturdy, easy to adjust and meets all my needs.
