In this case, you're spending just over $100 and getting a great all-around tripod. It might not be the most high-tech, high-end product, but for the serious photographer or videographer, it's an exceptional solution. I love how big it can be. I took a photo of me next to it. I am 175cm tall. If you put it in monopod mode, you can make it even bigger. It's quite flexible. the main downside is that the directions are quite lacking. I took a picture of all the relevant pages. On the other hand, the operation is quite intuitive so with a little tweaking you should be able to figure out how to operate it. Everything is quite smooth. You don't have a jerky sensation. Everything seems well lubricated. I hope the photos are helpful to give you an idea of what you are getting. I also like that it comes with a carrying case with a nice handle and an optional shoulder strap. All in all, this is an exceptional value. I recommand it. I filmed everywhere. It will be a welcome addition to my arsenal.

I bought this tripod as a gift for my son. He was very happy with it and then we went into the woods together at the weekend and he wanted to show me what he wanted to use it for. As you can see from the photos, it is possible to take completely different perspectives and angles using the crossbar and achieve wonderful photos with patience. But not only the crossbar is convincing, but also the whole tripod itself. The workmanship and materials are of very high quality. It does not wobble and is stable. You can probably get less functional sturdier tripods for the money. BUT this is a great compromise between quality and functionality. It is better made than you think although it’s long term life I can’t say as yet. It allows almost a unique height range that I could only achieve otherwise using studio supports or booms. It allows overhead video shots on the fly as well as in the studio. For me it will be primarily for studio use for flexible quick setups when i need a shot in a hurry. But I have used it outside and I have achieved angles with a remote that would have been difficult otherwise. I like it. I’d pay more for a deluxe version with perhaps better locking leg positions and stronger springs and hinges. But it’s good, not a toy or gizmo but a practical tool.
