It seems more sophisticated to me than a classic kneecap. The tightening of the various wheels makes the adjustment very firm. In addition, the weight of 10 kilos supported is a guarantee of safety.

Great piece of kit in every way. Except if you wanted to hike around or be moving a lot. It has a fair bit of weight to it and you will notice it offsetting your pack balance.
But if you plan to set up and stay put for a day of photography. Then it's a win.

Use this gimbal head not on a tripod but on a table. (photo cabin). Is sturdy and hinges well. On this table, I don't notice any difference with my 3 times more expensive Benro head.

it was very stiff, I removed the original grease and replaced it with a ceramic paste, now it's perfect, thank you
