She especially likes the photo option and being able to view on her computer. Seems durable for small hands and she didn’t need the directions to figure out main features. We will see how it holds up long term but good value for price at this point.

The microscope comes ready to use and is exciting to use every time. The slides provided are cool and making your own is even better. Seeing everything up close keeps the kids busy and entertained. Recommended science toy. Nice quality.

I teach 5/6 graders and have used microscopes with them for many science lessons as well as ART lessons. Looking at mico-shapes is very inspiring. I love how this handheld machine is so easy to use! The directions are very easy to follow and after charging the first time I was able to look at the included slides. I highly recommend this to ages 5-95. Easy to use and helps explore the world around us.

So yes, this isn't as advanced as a "real" microscope. But it really is neat (whether you're using it to look at included slides, making your own slides, or doing what I'm doing and looking at knife edges or other stuff close up). The white one is the least "kid looking" one. I do love that you don't have to look in a tube to see the image as it is digitally rendered on the included screen or even on a computer if you like! I wouldn't recommend this if you need cellular level magnification or need the image to be extremely sharp as the display and the optics just aren't that of a true microscope but for what it does, it does well. Additionally, it even came with a 16gb micro SD card. It does have a camera function (they call it binoculars and it is shaped like binoculars but it's really just a kid-quality digital camera). Overall, a well made, easy to use kid-friendly microscope/camera that has it's own screen!

This thing is awesome!!! My 3 YO is super into science right now and I want to capitalize on that and this is perfect for it. The instructions took me a minute to figure out but that's probably because I didn't look at it without my son right up in my face (ha) so if you look at it first before you give it to them and charge it you will have the best time! The microscope works amazingly well, it takes hundreds of pictures- which are easy to take and see- and the binoculars work great too ! DO NOT DISCARD THE PLASTIC COVER ON THE LENSES - it is what holds the specimens in place and the specimens will always go in on the left for it to work. It comes with really cool specimens to look at and the magnification and clarity are awesome. Don't be like me and lose them though- they are small. I wish I could buy more too because it is interesting, but since we lost ours we can still put things in the lens cover thing and look at it. I am a double science major and I wish I had one.

The wide age range for students is a great idea. Offers more than one or two subjects for children to explore.

I ordered this because I was always really big into science growing up, and wanted to give the gift of some exploration with the features of this really cool doodad ( it’s definitely more advanced than a toy, but not as intricate as a real microscope, camera, or telescope… sooo there.)

I’m so glad almost all toys and devices have rechargeable batteries, since running out of batteries was such a bummer when playing with my favorite toy as a kid. This comes with a charging cord, but it doesn’t come with the box. It was really challenging keeping this a secret from my nieces, so once I noticed charging was complete 34 were off to the races!

This actually comes with little tiny slides! When using the microscope portion, they actually learned how to properly treat a fragile slide! I was the proudest of aunties when they started to verbalize what they could see in the slide.

I love toys that are basically replicas of the real thing but simplified so a child can learn how to use technology for educational purposes at such a young age. The camera portion is so cool… they were so proud of the photos they took ( I mean, they weren’t award winning shots or anything however my girls really did strive to improve with each photo op.)

I think this is a great way to get your kids outside! The only caveat with this was I ordered ONE of these doodads and not two, so when we got a little tired and hungry sharing was a bit more challenging than it was earlier in our excursion. Great little toy!

Right out of the box, this was ready to use. We had fun trying out the 6 slides that came with the microscope. Unlike a traditional microscope where you have to squint and look through a tiny eyepiece, this comes with a small digital screen that displays the slide or object that you are looking at. By looking at the screen together, you can point out features and interesting marks to your child and discuss them as you both see them. More importantly, this helps to open your child's eyes to the fact that there is so much more to this world than what we can see with just our eyes alone. We ran around the house looking at so many different things. This toy is a lot of fun. We had no issue operating it and it did drop a couple of times with no cracks or chips. It is pretty solid and well made, and yes, my child already lost one of the slides. It also came with 3 sheets of random stickers. I guess those are to decorate the microscope, but my child has placed them all on everything, except the microscope.
Microscopes are just cool! Microscopes are just cool! Microscopes are just cool! Microscopes are just cool! Microscopes are just cool!
