52mm Star Filters 3pcs Set 4+6+8 Points Cross Screen Starburst Filter Special Effect Camera Lens Filter 18 Layer Coating with 3 Cleaning Cloth

Good value to be had here, you won’t use these for everything, but they’re good at only putting stars on hard point lighting, so you’ll have to kind of use your own creativity for when you would want to use these. They’re very clear optically, they really only add the stars and make no other changes, which is what I wanted.

This kit is great if you want to add light points to your photos without editing, they are high quality, well built filters that are meant to withstand a drop. Results look exactly like the photos, and everything matches the pictues, the included case is really well designed too. Overall for the price its a great addition to your kit!!

There's still some work to do when you use these filters as the rays produced can easily be too intense. There is also an intense prismatic effect if the white it picks up is too white. You can see this a bit in their sample photo of the diamond. It's not the diamond splitting white light causing the rainbow, it's the filter itself. It's great that these filters rotate so you can easily adjust where the stars are pointing, however some of the filters were really gummy feeling and not smooth to turn. I have not yet used these to shoot anything seriously but from my testing I didn't notice any concerning reduction in sharpness with the filters on. There is always some side effect of adding filters, it's just a question of whether it's noticeable or problematic, and so far these filters look good.

K&F makes affordable quality photographer's accessories, and these star filters are one of them. As with other K&F metal filter frames have thick, easy-to-handle knurling on the edges, making them easy to screw on and off a lens. The filter allows swiveling to adjust the direction of the star points. The included case is luxurious compared to the usual plastic cases, with a leather and fabric enclosure with velcro fasteners.
In my tests, the lens has little effect on the darker portion of a night scene. It creates sharp-looking stars off highlights. The stronger the light source, the bigger the stars. Careful exposure is important; if the image is overexposed, the source lights will look overblown and fuzzy. The same is true about shooting jewelry, which can always benefit from a well-placed glint.

The kit gives me three different star filter options. This lets me experiment and achieve different starry burst effects depending on the look I'm going for. Each point of light in my photo gets transformed into a little starburst, making my night scenes look extra dreamy and dramatic. The filters are made from high-quality optical glass with a Nano-K coating. This means they deliver sharp images without any unwanted haze or blurring. And, the coating helps repel dust and fingerprints, keeping my filters clean for those amazing shots.

I don't shoot portraits as much as I used to, but thought these would be nice to add a little something extra - obviously with the need to have lights in the shot too.
In my quick testing, I had a really hard time seeing the effect. I was just playing with them around the house, so I lit a candle and then pointed them at some other lights too. They definitely need a light source in frame and the brighter the better. Using the 4-star filter gave me no results that I could tell at all. The 6 and 8 were considerably better, but were faint.
I was able to see the effect better just looking through the filter myself than I could when the filter was on the camera. I tried different exposure levels to see if there was a sweet spot, but could not distinguish one.
These filters are fairly well made. I do wish they were magnetic so that I could use them with my K&F magnetic filter set, but that's a minor thing. I did find that the 4 star turned better than the 6 or 8, which made adjustment easier, if I could see the effect. I did have one that was stuck on my lens for a while. I had to really work with it before I could finally get it off. Maybe I tightened it too much, I'm not sure.
The storage case is nice, although it doesn't have any way to attach to a bag or a belt. The case with the K&F magnetic filter set has a belt loop as well as I ring that I use with a carabiner clip to attach to my bag.
The inclusion of micro fiber cloths is nice. You can never have too many of these cloths and, while these are not that large, they are a good addition to my collection.

There are several things I like about this set, but first I'll tell you what I think of the filters.
First is that there are 3 of them to choose from, 4, 6, and 8 point, so that I have the flexibility to make the shot I desire based on the lighting situation. Next is the quality of the mounting. Several screw-filters I've used are difficult to attach resulting cross-threading or sticking. These have well cut threads that are easy to get on and off my lens. Also, and very importantly, is that the filter can be turned after it is attached so that the photographer can adjust the angle of the star points to suit the frame.
I've read that some star filters reduce the quality of the image, but I have yet to see that with these filters. With or without them, the clarity seems to remain the same to my eye. If you have a better eye for this, you may see a difference, but I cannot.
Due to weather issues I have yet to take these out at night for a full test. I've been limited to using my phone flash to see what they do to bright, pinpoint lights, so take this with a grain of salt. With a flashlight in a darkened room (not dark, darkened), the points are refracted into thin rainbows as shown in their picture of the diamond. Truly a beautiful look.
Lastly I'd like to point out the superior case they come in. It looks really good, but the most important part is that each pocket is made with a very nice material similar to my wife's yoga pants. Once folded up, it is held closed with industrial grip hook and loop (think: Velcro). Inside this case, these filters are very well protected.
I highly recommend these.

If you’re like me and love adding a little extra magic to your photos, you might want to check out the K&F Concept 77mm Star Filters Kit. This set includes three filters: 4 points, 6 points, and 8 points. They turn any light source into a starburst, making your night shots and holiday lights look super cool.
First off, the build quality is pretty solid. These filters are made with 18-layer coated optical glass, which sounds fancy, but in simple terms, it means they’re clear and durable. They’re also ultra-slim, so you won’t have to worry about vignetting (those dark corners in your photos) even on wide-angle lenses.
Using these filters is pretty straightforward. Just screw them onto your lens and you’re good to go. I’ve been using them mostly for night photography and cityscapes, and the results have been awesome. The 4-point filter is great for subtle star effects, while the 6 and 8 points add more drama and sparkle.
One thing to keep in mind is that these filters work best with strong light sources. If you’re shooting in dim conditions, the star effect might not be as pronounced. But when you’ve got streetlights, car headlights, or festive lights, these filters shine (pun intended).
Also, they come in a nice little carrying case, so you can toss them in your bag without worrying about scratches or dust.
Overall, I’d say the K&F Concept Star Filters Kit is a fun and affordable way to jazz up your photography. Whether you’re a pro or just enjoy taking pretty pictures, these filters add that extra bit of sparkle that can make your photos stand out. Happy shooting!
