First off, the grip's waterproof feature gives me peace of mind during water activities. It's a relief to know that even if I accidentally drop my camera, it will stay afloat, thanks to the buoyant design. The fast-release mechanism is another standout feature. It makes swapping between different accessories or adjusting the angle of the camera a breeze, ensuring I never miss a shot. I also like the anti-slip handle, which provides a secure grip even when my hands are wet.

I have a very old GoPro that requires an outer case to make it water proof so my biggest concern after reading the other reviews that were possibly on newer models that are built to be waterproof was "will it work for this one?" Answer is yes. Even though there is additional weight of the case (not much but is heavier than the new ones wo it) the hand grip remained afloat. I use my GoPro during open water swims in a coastal area well know for lots of sea life - Tiger Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Garibaldi, rays and other schools of fish. I wanted a stick that was hand held and floated - this does the job well. The wrist lanyard is enough to secure to the the wrist. I am not sure how much (if ever) I will use the fast release feature but I feel that since you have to both push in the side orange buttons and then twist, it should remain secured without an issue.

Got the chance to use this at the pool and the beach. Self explanatory and easy to use - just screw the GoPro on top and go. Handle is sturdy yet lightweight. Threw it in the pool with the camera on and while the camera stays under waters (it’s heavy), the handle pops right to the top and the bright orange color makes it easy to find your camera. I was able to adjust the wrist strap for security when using it in the ocean and I was never concerned about losing it, even through waves. Great little handle.

I got this floating grip to replace another grip I had because I really wanted the 1/4 inch socket to be able to integrate this into a mount, and it works perfectly for that. Build quality is really nice, too. I feel bad taking off one star, but the issue is this--the grip comes with a quick release, which is super nice if you want to freely detach your camera for any reason, but the connection is all-plastic. That means that you have to mount the floating grip right next to the camera instead of at the end of a boom, which is was I was hoping to do. Forces from an extended boom multiply by the time they reach the grip, and the quick release feels sketchy at the end of, for example, a fully extended invisible selfie stick holding an Insta 360. Of course, the solution is to move the grip up between the camera and the boom, which is not a huge deal. I only point out that had they made the quick release connection out of metal or way more beefed up, then users like me would have more mounting options. That all said, I do love this grip. It works really well, and I am still glad I got it because it still integrates into a fixed mounting solution for filming over water.

I was able to request and get this floating hand grip for free from Amazon Vine, and I would have no problem spending my own money on this if I had to get another one--I might look around for something that addresses what I discussed above, but barring something very clearly on-point, I would likely just get this again. I recommend.

my daughter has dropped our GoPro to the bottom of the pool quite a few times. Now we no longer have to worry about losing the camera in the ocean or at the bottom of the pool if the kids drop it it’ll float. And the orange butt is easy to see.

This is nice, lightweight, stable handle to mount an action camera. It is a great diameter that feels easy to grip and hold, features a solid wrist strap, feels well-made, and can float in the water! It also has a standard screw mount on the bottom as well for additional versatility! I'd highly recommend!

I have large hands and the grip feels secure, comfortable and is plenty big. The loop on the handle is big enough to get my hand through, but it will stretch a little if need be.

I read some other reviews that were worrying about the quick-detach, but it's on there pretty secure (at least on mine). You don't have to be really strong to unlock it, but you also aren't going to bump it into something and lose your GoPro.

I haven't tested its ability to float, but it works great as a handle for a GoPro.

This isn't my first K&F product and it won't be my last if they keep their quality and price point.
