K&F CONCEPT 16"/40cm Professional Photo Studio Light Box: Portable Folding Photography Tent Kit with 6 Color Backdrops for Small-Medium Product Shoots

I’m really impressed with this light box. I’ve used others that were ok but didn't give me good results. This one on the other hand is self contained with the box, light and backdrops all included and all fitting together really well.

The box comes in a small case that I can easily store in my photo gear closet. When I take it out it folds out into a cube and then a flap folds down at the back and locks it into shape. The flap also has a little elastic strap to hold the backdrops in place. There is a little plastic flap on the bottom that holds the other end of the backdrop. When inserted properly the backdrops curve nicely and look good in photos, I just have to make sure they are inserted properly because if they are even off by a little they bulge oddly but it’s obvious and easy to fix.

Without a backdrop inserted the box has silver on 5 sides with a light in the middle of the top one and a simple diffuser that can be placed over the light side. The silver produces harsh light without a backdrop and diffuser but that’s a matter of taste and when everything is in place I like the results.

There are 6 backdrops. They are plastic but nice. The orange is a little more beige than orange and you need to be careful to clean fluff and dust off them but that’s the same with every backdrop I’ve used.

The light is powered over USB-C. There are 10 steps of brightness and 3 warmth settings. I like the middle warmth setting, cold is too cold and warm is too warm for what I want.
The light is a ring light and there is a little swivel door in the top so I can shoot from above. My 24-70 lens fits with an inch or so to spare. I prefer shooting from the side that’s completely open but it’s nice to have the option to shoot from above if needed.

The box isn't huge, but I’m only shooting small items like old cameras so it’s good enough for me and I like how easy it is to set up and the results I get.

I have used a variety of light boxes over the years, each with its strengths and weaknesses, but until now I hadn't used one that I could pop up quickly, shoot a product, then pack away with zero fuss.
This is that light box!

It opens up in seconds and a reflective backplate is pulled down to lock it into its cube form, packing away is as simple as pulling a tab on the backplate to collapse it flat again.
Once popped up a white light diffuser can be attached to the upper panel by way of velcro strips, chosse one of a selection of coloured backgrounds - held securely in place with tabs - and you are good to go.

A USB A cable from the rear powers the LED lighting in the top panel and has a fair bit of light moderation thanks to a small control panel built into the cable.

You have two shooting options. from the front, which remains open, or from above thanks to a central porthole in te top panel, when not in use this is covered by a plastic hardcover that swivels on a single point for easy access.

And when you have finished, the entire kit folds up into a compact bundle that has its own carry tote bag, which I hang on the back of my studio door for quick access.

This is a well thought out unit, perfect for small product photography yet compact enough that it can be used pretty much anywhere given its small footprint.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this, if you want a small light box, you have found it!

Your subjects can be illuminated eith natural light by opening the aperture on the top or by connecting to a USB-A power source. The LED ring is super bright!for backdrops, the light comes with inserts if a variety of colors to select from. It gives the look of the su ject of your photography being in a solid color void with al.ost no shadows, making the distinct stand out in your photos your intended target.

Ive used other light boxes, but this one stands out as especially bright. The I side of the light box is highly reflective. Though it is illuminated from the top, your subject will appear to be illuminated from se eral directions.

I trialled this 12”x12” light box using both my Fujifilm X-H2 and my iPhone to see how it handled different setups. For a unit in this price range, the included lighting is bright enough. The LEDs provide even illumination, and for straightforward product shots, it’s absolutely usable straight out of the box. That said, depending on the look you’re going for, you may still want to introduce additional lighting.

At 12”x12”, this is definitely a small shooting space. You’ll be limited to jewellery, watches, cosmetics, small tech accessories, and similarly compact items. Anything larger quickly feels cramped. It’s important to go in with realistic expectations about scale.

Build quality is reasonable for the price. It feels like an inexpensive but thoughtfully designed kit rather than a professional studio fixture. The folding design makes it easy to set up and pack away, and for casual sellers or hobbyists it’s convenient and space-efficient.

Overall, I’d consider this good value. It’s not a replacement for a larger studio setup, but for small products and entry-level product photography, it’s a practical and affordable solution.

This shooting tent provides top and side camera access and an excellent selection of lighting options. There are four images attached to this review which provide spectra of the LED illumination. The first spectrum shows the "blue option" which has a color temperature of 5835 K (Kelvin). The second spectrum shows the "red option" which has a color temperat;ure of 3004 K. A third click produces a mix of the previous two options and has a color temperature of 4219 K as shown in the third spectrum. The fourth image shows a spectrum of the winter sun, which has a color temperature of 4818K. Thus the LED ring covers a nice range of color temperatures, which when combines with the included color PVC backgrounds, provides an excellent set of options which work with most any target to produce an excellent shot.

I am using this shooting tent to photograph small electronic devices and the illumination and background color options make it easy to get excellent pictures. But this light box can be used for most any small to medium sized object and with access to top and side shots, covers most any need. The box is well made, can be put together quickly, and then stored in the carrying case. An excellent design with all the options one needs for professional pictures.

I like K&F they make good products. I didn't know that I needed one of these until it came in my vine. Now all of my reviews will look professional as I can lazily be. First this is a quality unit for what most people will use it for. For photographers is pretty cheap at $30. So it's very affordable. These images are all SOOC and unedited. This is easy to setup and year down. The controls are self intuitive without the manual. Easy to work with for small items. It feels larger that 12" but that's a good thing. The light is adjustable in stops. The 6 backdrops are a bonus for free. A very capable unit. You'll love it.

We often have small items to shoot but have to lug out the larger light tents. Instead, this is a fantastic purchase for anyone remotely interested in taking photos of small objects within a 12”x12” x 12" set up.

It is easy to store, quick to set up, and adaptable to a variety of lighting schematics. It can use multiple backgrounds and can easily accommodate custom ones made by you. All of this is in a small 12+x12+ carrying case. It’s powered by a self-contained USB switch/power cable (5v, 2A).

Its lightweight, well made, and its quick set up especially well thought out of. The lighting consists of 120 LED beads can be modified both in color and 10 step intensity. It has an adjustable CCT of 3000K, 4200K, and 5600K. With the LED lighting it remains cool while shooting. There is an accessory light diffuser which attaches via Velcro around the light disk.

There is an opening at the top which can be used to either shoot from the top or develop unique shadow configurations for the space below.

There are 6 PVC backgrounds which can be easily installed and don’t crease. Unfortunately, grey is not one of the colors. This can be fixed by purchasing a small sheet of PVC (12” x 24”) and using instead.

I really can’t say enough for the item. It’s easy to carry, set up, use and take back down quickly. At the price, it is an absolute steal.
