Great trips for camera, phone, tablet
I got this tripod to use with my spotting scope. It's a very compact tripod. Folds down more than most I've seen. It's inexpensive for what it is. The quality is good.
Its definitely not as sturdy as a much thicker (and more expensive tripod). This may or may not make a difference for you. If you use a spotting scope, a phone, tablet, or a simple camera, this is adequate. If you want to do something like long exposure photography, then it may be worth paying more for a heavier tripod. You can make this one more stable by adding weight under the hook, which is also very convenient. Makes it less likely to fall over in the wind or if accidentally knocked.
Overall I'm very happy with this tripod. I have no problem recommending this to anyone.
