Great for video work to have that bloom/halation mist feel along with ND.
Really makes background highlights have a beautiful bloom and halation to it. 1/4 is pretty strong, but it's not that bad. I like that it spins like it's a polarizer on the front so you can easily see what level of nd you have on. Some get locked in place at a certain point of the lens and it's hard to read sometimes.
I didn't see a major change in the color of the final result, even at full 5 stop nd with the mist effect. There's a little, but it's not bad or pervasive and can be fixed in post.
You can't use a lens hood if you use the filter, but that's fine. You can use your lens cap though. The filter comes with a convenient carry pouch. I'm not a fan of the little handle that K&F uses on these filters. It's not that they are bad, it's just they break pretty easily so be careful. I've had a few bend or break already even when being taken care of.
