This is super easy to use. Easy to program. The door opens and closes at the correct programmed time. One thing to note is that the height of the unit increases by just over 10 inches when the door is in the up position. So take this into account when installing! We had to cut a thin notch over it since our barrel is covered. The price of this device seems to be mid-range compared to similar products. That being said, overall I feel like the prices for these things are perhaps a bit high. The convenience factor is what makes these so attractive, and who wants to manually operate the door of their chicken coop in the rain or cold when this item can do it for you? I don't! This door is fairly easy to install and works great with the timer. I have it in a place where it closed too early with the light sensor. If you use this option, make sure the sensor is in a location that receives full light. I set it to open at 7:30 in the morning and close at 7:45. It took about a week, but now all my chickens go in before the door closes.
