The effect provided by this filter is one of softening contrast while giving bright light sources a more diffuse effect. This creates a soft almost cinematic view which can be likened to an older film type image. The effect is quite subtle and is best seen on wider angle shots with brighter light sources. Really we a re talking about landscape shots and especially those like sunrise or sunset or where there is bright lighting somewhere in the frame.
When used in other scenarios, the effect might not be noticed and a mist filter might be a better option.

I love the light effects you get with this lens filter. I got it for my wide angle lens for landscapes. It makes a neat soft glowing effect to any bright light source in the image. I love the effect and have been experimenting with it to see what I can do with it creatively. It's a really fun way to experiment with light in your photos. The filter itself is well made, as expected from a K&F Concept product. I have been impressed with the quality of their lens filters for years. The filters always fit correctly, with the threads giving me no troubles at all. They go right on my lenses without issue. The filter has 18 multi-layer coatings on it. It is threaded so you can stack filters, if you are going for multiple effects in your image. It comes with micro fiber cleaning cloths to maintain it. It comes in a storage case too. I think this one is a filter to get just for fun. I like to be creative with my photos and this filter adds one more tool that I can use to experiment with effects. I am happy with it.

This is a really fun filter to try out and expand your creative vision. I won't have this on all of the time for walkaround like a black diffusion, but it does add something to my camera bag that allows me to capture things differently. I really like the soft glow and haze it produces. At the price, it's worth trying out. The fun of experimenting is worth it.

I prefer it for portraits, landscapes, and macro photography and most of the time the pictures have that magical, fantasy look. Cleaning the filter is also very simple mostly because there are included cleaning cloths to ensure the filter remains clean always. This diffusion filter is an absolute must for anyone who wants to spice up their photos a little bit. It is a must-have accessory that truly costs a reasonable amount of money.

I really enjoy this filter at 82mm to add a slight bloom and natural optical character to highlights and direct sources on my Sigma art 24-70mm with Sony full frame for my cinematography.
Its light and thin and stacks well with my ND filter.
The case is very protective but nice and practical in hard plastic with a cut foam insert.
