This is a really sturdy magnetic mount. It has a slightly larger design than some of the others I've used in the past. I've been filming on this with a Sony A7C and Canon R8 and it handles both easily - even with larger adapted EF lenses on the Canon. Also, the other thing that's cool about this is it has a built-in phone mount. Likewise, if you're just using this for action cameras, it'll handle them with no problem. As someone who's used a lot of these kinds of mounts, I can verify that this is one of the more sturdier ones around. Highly recommended.

This is a unique magnetic head that has a ball swivel for adjustability, and a flip up phone holder, and even includes an action cam mount. Really a great deal all in all. There’s no instructions but you flip up the phone mount to use it. It’s very loose on its own but add your phone and it stabilizes it. Overall a good mount that has a 1/4 screw so you can mount really whatever you want.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with it—especially for quick, static shots. The magnets hold really well on flat, thick steel surfaces, but they’re noticeably weaker on thinner or curved metal (like car panels), as any magnet would be. I’d definitely limit rough movements and high wind exposure, although I’ve gotten satisfactory shots in some situations.

It’s super versatile for use with lighter cameras like action cams or phones. The ¼"-20 thread is standard, so most gear fits fine. It comes with a phone clamp and an action cam mount, which is a nice bonus. The base is coated in a rubbery material that feels soft and seems to help prevent surface scratches. That said, I do wish the base were larger and had slightly stronger magnets.

The ball head is much better than another brand I have—it adjusts smoothly and stays put once tightened, which is great. However, the short post under the ball head makes it a bit awkward to fully tighten if you're using bulky gear. Also, the phone clamp is a tight fit if your phone has a case, and since it’s fixed, you can’t swap it out easily.

Overall, it’s compact, portable, and works well for static setups. I think it's a solid value for casual creators or hobbyists looking for something simple and adaptable. Just be sure to test your mounting surface before trusting it with your gear.

Four stars from me.

I am pleasantly surprised by this creative combination. The ball head works well enough to support small mirrorless cameras, action cameras, and cell phones. I like that it's built in to the mount. Just pull on one side, and you have something that will easily hold onto most modern cell phones - Brilliant!

The only negative I can see is that the transforming capability increases the size of the whole thing.

I haven't tried the magnetic mount just yet, but I trust it is strong enough to use for small cameras.

And, can you believe its only $20?

Excellent camera mount from K&F, looks and feels like 'proper' camera equipment in comparison to the cheaper plastic stuff out there.

The magnetic strength of the base is again excellent, sticking like the proverbial (on an appropriate piece of metal of course).

I'm actually a little surprised at the price, as this is hardly any more expensive than many of the all-plastic versions mentioned above. At a sub-£20 price point you really can't complain for what you're getting here.

On a quality/value-for-money basis.... 5-Stars.

Quite impressed by how sturdy this mount is, the ABS plastic feels thick & robust, while the rubberized base plate holds six magnets that firmly latch onto any ferrous metal surface (they could be neodymium but they are simply referred to as “strong magnets” in the listing copy, so who knows...).

When tightened down, the ball joint locks solidly, there's no play whatsoever, so you can forget about any movement or drift on the camera.

All threads are standard 1/4”-20, which means that the mount (sans magnetic base) can be used with a tripod or any other accessory with a 1/4”-20 stud.

This mount offers a lot of versatility, making it a great addition to the gear bag.

As someone who owns several K&F Concept products, from gimbals to bags, I'll freely admit I'm a big fan. That's because when you combine quality with a decent price, you get a great product, and this one is no exception to their usual high standards.

For starters when you open the easy to recycle brightly coloured cardboard packaging, there's the aluminium magnetic base which uses Neodymium magnets. Or more precisely N52 magnets which are some of the most powerful magnets on Earth. So the hold on this base is super secure. Plus the non-scratch rubber coating means wherever it's stuck won't get scratched.

Moving up is the metal ball mount, which with it's bright orange ball, provides a smooth yet secure 360 degree rotation and up to 90 degree tilt. A mount that can be removed from the base, so and with the built in standard tripod bush it can be used as a normal ball mount. There's even a bush on the opposite side of the gimbal lock, which can be used for a small light or a wireless microphone.

On top of that is a plastic grip, which is really cleverly designed to be used in three ways. When flat it'll happily hold anything from a compact camera, camcorder right up to a 3KG SLR with a small lens. When unfolded it'll hold a mobile phone nicely tightly. Or, when using the included handle, it'll accept an action camera.

OK sure there's no instructions, but it's so easy to use you don't really need any. Most importantly what you get is a bit of tough compact kit, a bit of kit that's fairly priced and does an excellent job. So I'm more than happy to recommend this one.

Nice and compact but feels properly solid. The magnet’s no joke, it stuck onto the car bonnet like it had something to prove. The adjustable head is smooth and holds its position well. Comes with adapters for camera and phone, which is handy.

Would’ve been five stars but the phone clip could use a bit more padding—it grips tightly but leaves a mark on softer cases. Id also suggest something to pad under the magnet if using on nice paintwork!

I wanted to give this a try since I own a GoPro and X3 camera. It comes with everytjong you need to support not only the aforementioned but a cellphone as well.

The rotation ball locks tighly into place to prevent moment and the magnets are strong enough to clam to various metallic surface, although not sure i would just stick it on the top of a car since anything that knocks it hard enough would cause it to come loose.

i'm a big fan of k&f products and this magnetic ball head joint continues that trend.

it's a beautifully made bit of kit that feels rock solid. it adjusts confidently with a simple easy to use design.

the bottom plate is mounted with a standard tripod screw thread so can be removed and the head attached to pretty much any camera kit you already own instead.

the magnets on the plate are very strong and hold very well to a suitable surface. for action cameras it should hold firm and fast even with plenty of accessories attached.

there's a tripod screw on top which comes with a rubber cover which is a nice touch and a tripod to action camera mount in the box so you have the choice of both. there are also two mounting holds on the head for the magnetic plate so it can be rear or bottom mounted as needed.

finally the baseplate of the mounting surface flips up and has a spring loaded arm that can extend out to accomodate a phone held sideways which is both secure and should work with most non-xl sized devices.

this is a really well thought out and designed ball head. I'm very impressed.
