I like this design. It attempts to do everything: the head unit comes with everything you need to hold a mobile phone, a 1/4" screw for old fashioned camera tripod mouts, and a gopro mount that screws into this mount. Pretty much all the mounts you'll need. This head unit is very well designed, pretty much everything in one flat unit that cleverly folds out when required.

The ball mount is very solid: the actual ball is the only metal part, and feels very solid. It seems to be well embedded into the magnetic clamp, not likely to escape with your camera.

There are 6 strong magnets in a circular base. If you attach the mount to a metal surface it feels very solid, not going anywhere. The bottom is rubberised so shouldn't scratch the surface it's stuck too, as long as that surface is clean. It really needs a flat surface tohold on to. The 3KG weight limit seems reasonable for general use, but I would use a tether for anything monuted to use on the outside of a vehicle where wind resitance could tug it loose (at least until it proved it's worth).

So overall, a very interesting device which could be yet another way for me to mount a camera on a motorcycle, or on any metal surface with minimal fuss. Once I've tested a little further I will update...

Wow! What a pleasant surprise it was to open this box. I've been wanting a magnetic mount to put on the front of a car for when I'm on holiday and want to film the off-roading or whatever in front of me. I tried last year with my GP stuck on a mount on my seatbelt and it was ok. But I want the real deal for in future. When I took this out of the box I was well impressed with the quality, and the first thing I did was stick it straight to the bonnet of my car. I am absolutely comfortable using this and not worrying about losing my camera (and footage!) from a moving car -imagine looking for that in the rocky terrain. I love the quirky colour of the ball fitting, and overall the quality is excellent. Really pleased, and for the price point I think this is excellent value.

This mount has saved me time during busy workdays when capturing quick videos. Attached it to our metal filing cabinet to record a tutorial for my elderly mother learning to use her new tablet. The magnetic base stayed put without sliding down, and adjusting angles was smooth without loosening screws. During our family maple syrup collection this week, mounted my Canon to our metal buckets for close-up shots of the sap dripping - something impossible with traditional tripods. The weight capacity easily handled my DSLR with smaller lenses. One morning while juggling breakfast and remote work, quickly attached it to our refrigerator to film my teen's school presentation practice. Had an issue with the phone holder needing extra tightening to prevent slipping. The compact size fits in my camera bag without taking much space. Makes spontaneous filming much easier around home and outdoors.

This is a really well designed magnetic mount suitable for cameras, action cams and phones. The magnet is strong enough to hold a phone or action cam easily and its covered in rubber so it wont mark anything you attach it to. The head is posable and it slides open to make a phone holder which works well. The 1/4" thread on top means you can attach any standard equipment to it. Useful tool ideal for creative minds looking for different angles.

This clamp has a pretty good magnet and protection for the surface you're sticking it to.

Has a ball head with a standard action camera mount and phone clamp. All stays in place well, although I'd not trust the clamp on a moving car with a phone as much as I would an action camera, it's got a much more reliable mount.

Versatile and does just what you need at a reasonable price. Easy to use too.

The magnetic base is atrong—it locks onto metal surfaces with serious grip, so I never feel like my gear is at risk of falling off, even during bumpy rides or active filming.

The standard 1/4 screw is solid and compatible with a bunch of gear.

The 360° rotation and 90° tilt let me dial in the angle exactly how I want it, which is great for shooting from awkward spots. It holds position really well without drifting.

This is quite the package, this magnetic ball head can work with Mobile phones (with the included hidden pull out phone holder), action cameras, smaller light weight cameras like point & shoots as well as attaching LED lights etc for video/photography. This really is versatile for many uses.

The whole thing breaks down into 4 parts;
-Magnetic rubber covered base with 6 powerful magnets on the bottom, it has a 1/4 20" screw mount on top
-The main ball head mount which also has a 1/4 20" screw mount on top
-The phone mount which screws ontop of the ball head
-Then you have the action camera mount which is the GoPro type but can be adapter for others like DJI, Insta360 etc.

As said this is versatile, so you could break it down and add various other attachments to each peace, add your own ball head to the magnetic mount for example, the magnets are strong and stick well, they don't seem to slip either due to the rubber coating giving it grip.

For the money, this is a fantastic little accessory to get those otherwise hard to get moments/clips when videoing etc
As it's made by K&F Concepts, they made great products at reasonable prices.

I am a fan of K&F concept photographic accessories - have always found them to be of excellent quality and well-designed.

Ordered this to use with my GoPro action camera.

Comes in branded K&F box with a tiny info leaflet (not instructions) and a camera clamp. No manual or any instructions of any kind in or on the box. Scanned the QR code on a leaflet inside - it simply took me to warranty information. I genuinely couldn't figure out the workings of it until I went back to the Amazon listing, where the various pictures helped me to work it out. I suppose it might be a quality control issue where the instruction in this case were accidentally omitted - that would be more forgivable than simply not providing any as standard.

Well-made though, seems very sturdy, magnet works well and is well-protected with silicone.

Would have been 5 stars had instructions been included.
