Very solid, well built and easy to used. Was intially concerned about it being difficult to use at night, but no problem, very intuitive. Highly recommend, especially with longer, heavier lenses.

I bought this to use for astrophotography, and then I discovered how useful a geared head is for lots of other things--almost any time you want to aim accurately and have the camera stay in place with no sagging. It's especially nice with long lenses where a small movement can move the subject right out of the frame.
The main exception is when you want to be able to aim the camera quickly, such as for following a moving subject, and then have it stay put when you let go of it. That's when a gimbal head like the Movo GH700 MK II comes into its own. (You can pay a lot more for a gimbal head, but this one works for me and my budget.
The K&H geared head moves smoothly in all directions and the releases that allow you to make large changes without endless knob turning work well.

Works just like you might expect! I bought it to use under a 20x-60x 80mm spotting scope and it lets me adjust the framing as I desired. With a typical tripod, the backlash, or mount slop, makes it difficult to center the subject. This mount solves that problem handily. Highly recommended!

I like K&F gear and have bought quite a bit of their equipment, so it was not a case of was it any good but would it suit my purpose. I also wanted a three way geared head to go onto my existing tripod and the fine adjustment along with an option to make large camera movements quickly suited me. As with all K&F gear, it came well packed and looks the part as well as functioning as it should. Early days yet as to its durability but whilst using on a couple of landscape field trips it has performed faultlessly.

Purchased this to mount my Seestar telescope for polar alignment. The fine adjustment turned a 15 minute alignment task into a 3 minute task. Once it is set, it stays in place.
