A great compact means of mounting cameras in unusual locations
I wanted to mount a webcam above the large OLED monitor I have in my office which is located tightly underneath a floating shelf. The shelf is full of stuff and there was no simple way of placing a webcam. However, this Magic Arm camera mount has provided a solution.
The floating shelf I have is particulaly thick at 5cm and a lot of mounts I've looked at don't have the clearance to be able to open up the clamps wide enough. This product, however, does. Only just, but it does go wide enough.
The metal construction feels solid, the tightening mechanisms feel positive enough to trust mounting a camera on it (at the very least a webcam or compact camera, not so sure about a big DSLR). The articulation of the device gives you plenty of scope for adjustment.
At £25 it's maybe a little pricey, but definitely worth £20 if you can pick it up on offer.
