Weather protection for your DSLR
Tested using a Nikon D3300 with the 18-55mm lens and a lens hood (HB-47). I had no problems using this with the camera, both with and without a tripod. Since I had a shorter lens, I bundled the lens portion of the cover together and secured it with tape (the middle part) and the end part with the velcro strap stayed in place. I simulated rain by using my shower, aiming the water at the back of the cover (the viewfinder side), with a box inside instead of my camera. The box remained dry, and I was able to put my hands inside without getting too much water. However, I'd be cautious if using it in strong winds. This is a good alternative to the clear plastic bag method I was using.
