Sturdy lmini tripod.
I love the fact that this little desktop mini tripod is so compact and well-made. It seems to be made primarily of machined aluminum and not cheap plastic for the structural components. All the joints are sharp and appear to be made to really tight tolerances. I have an older Canon EOS Rebel camera with a power drive and this setup is relatively heavy but this tripod was able to support it without falling over or collapsing. The locking mechanisms on the tripod seem to be staying put, but I haven't owned this for very long, so it is hard to say in the long run how it will hold up. I looked at other mini tripod on Amazon, but really questioned whether most of them in this class could comfortably support a heavy SLR camera. This one, even though a little expensive ($50) does the job well for me.
