There were too many manufacturers to choose from, so I went for something expensive with more features ^_^
Everything is high-quality, screw it on, click it in, done. I like the M42 lenses because you can recognize them immediately,
which makes finding lenses easier, and the adapter works perfectly with my EOS 500D.
Everything is secure, everything is safe, great pictures. It takes a little getting used to because the aperture isn't set in the camera—it has to be adjusted on the lens. Otherwise, everything is as usual. Perfect for beginners.
And then you have an endless selection of nice old lenses.
High-quality adapter (you can expect that for THAT price!) - nice detail: It says M42-EF on the adapter, so you can't go wrong and don't have to search for anything. Other manufacturers should take note: write something on it explaining what it does; that would make life easier for many people..."

"I purchased this adapter to use a couple of Rokinon lenses for astrophotography on my newer Canon DSLR.
The adapter goes on without effort. Removing can be tricky but at first but removes easily once you identify the release button (see photo). Press the button and rotate clockwise to remove from the lens. There are no instructions provided which would be nice as removal is not intuitive out of the box.
The metal portion is glossy (smooth) which I appreciate. Many adapters have rough (mat) finishes that seem to be rough on the lens mounts.

Great. I have an old Tamron 500mm mirror lens ...

I have an old Tamron 500mm mirror lens that I bought in 1985. I had long thought it was now useless. But no! This adapter actually works so I can use it on my Canon EOS 400D camera. I just set the mode to aperture priority and reduce the exposure by one stop and then use as before. (I set the exposure to one stop under because the lens always seemed to work at a 5.6 aperture setting instead of the 8.0 it was meant to be).
So now I have my old lens.

Sturdy adapter
Was recommended this by a photographer friend and can agree, it‘s the best adapter ! Not at all wobbley. Great way to get more use out of some of the excellent OM lenses, that can be found quite inexpensively these days, on a modern camera.

Does not work on a canon 80D
So the description of the product is OK. But I had a look at the reviews and some guy said it works ok with canon 80D as well, so I bought it. It doesn‘t! Should have followed the description of the product! Incompatible with 80D. Returned! Hope it helps! Other than that, the product looks neat!
