Wildlife Camera Coolife
The wildlife camera is a fire hazard. After receiving the package, I used the included memory card and eight new Varta Longlife batteries. I ran the test mode at the kitchen table. It smelled like burnt plastic. I tracked down the smell and saw that the plastic of the upper battery compartment was beginning to warp from the heat and smoke was rising. I immediately removed the batteries. All the negative poles on the upper compartment showed that they had simmered. The batteries were accordingly warm. I would not operate this unit anywhere without supervision and a fire extinguisher nearby. Go back.
